To join the Tolland Cycle Club it will cost you $5 dollars a year to either be a competitive or non-competitive member.
To be able to race you need to hold an Australian cycling Federation Licence.
What is a Cycling Licence you ask:
By joining any one of Cycling Australia's affiliated cycling clubs, you become affiliated to the State you live in and Cycling Australia, this in turn allows you to compete in any sanctioned cycling events in Australia. Once your membership has been processed a racing licence is issued, this is then used to verify your Club and State membership when entering and registering for events.
Each club has a Licensing Secretary that can issue a temporary licence and receipt for monies received. Your details and monies are then forwarded onto the NSW Federation who then processes your application and post out your licence.
The Federation has a grace period for new members. You can purchase a 12 month licence at the beginning of October each year. This gives you coverage for 15 months so you get 3 months for free, what a bargain.
